4ta. exhibición y competencia de Bettas de la Asociacion de Acuaristas de Aguadilla.

Esta son algunas de las fotos que tome durante la cuarta exhibición de Bettas.  La actividad se distinguió por la gran diversidad de colores y formas que se inscribieron para la competencia.   Exhibieron en la actividad personas de diversas partes de la Isla no solo de Aguadilla.

Dendrobium gouldii Rchb. f. 1867, "blue", the grand champion of the 2016 Puerto Rico Orchid Society show

This orchid was the Grand Champion of the 2016 Puerto Rico Orchid society show.  The plant was big and had a number of massive inflorescences with a large number of flowers.  Unfortunately, it was on the very center of the exhibit where many other plants obscured its size.  The flowers have a nice shape and a delightful color.  The size of the plant makes clear that its owner is skilled at growing these plants which can be tricky to grow to this large size.

Lake Tebera Rainbowfish Melanotaenia herbertaxelrodi in the Dallas World Aquarium

This rainbowfish is native of the Lake Tebera basin in Papua New Guinea.  I have never seen rainbowfish of this species anywhere that approach the size and beauty of this group which I photographed at the Dallas World Aquarium in 2010.

When given good nutrition, a spacious aquarium and excellent care, the Turquoise rainbowfish can grow into a size and shape that is rarely seen in fish kept in the average aquarium.  I saw this stunning specimen during a visit to the Dallas World Aquarium in 2010.  This fish was just a tiny part of the many interesting things I saw there, nevertheless is small size, it is very impressive in its own right.

Algunos Betta splendens vistos en la exhibición de peces de la asociacion de acuaristas de Aguadilla en abril 2014

Las fotos que se presentan aquí ilustran las variedades del pez Betta splendens que se presentaron en la exhibición educativa de la asociación de acuaristas de Aguadilla de 2014.   Estas fotos son solo una muestra ya que habia una gran variacion en los colores y formas de los peces en la exhibición.   La exhibición fue un éxito y los aficionados a las Bettas quedaron muy satisfechos. 

Este pez fue el "Gran Campeon" de la actividad por la perfeccion de su colorido,
 sus aletas y su actitud alerta y vigorosa.
